Abstract

The most advanced R&D achievement from Hedonist Biochemical Technologies Co., Ltd. is a formula developed for wound-healing with the name of Sulbogin, which has been filed for worldwide patent protection. Sulbogin could also serve as a cosmetic treatment for skin care. SUILE (Ointment) Wound Dressing, in the form of gauze and ointment, with patent formula Sulbogin had the approval from FDA to market in the USA. The approved export certificates issued by FDA recently are ready for marketing the products in the world.

Sulbogin was originally comprised of pure nature herbs. The formula consists effective amounts of borneol and bismuth subgallate. Borneol has a special smell and hence has been used as a flavoring agent, an inactive additive in medicaments. It has been used as an active agent for treating gallstones. Borneol-deriving esters have been commonly utilized in perfume manufacture. Bismuth subgallate is known as an oral anti-diarrhea agent effective in treating acute or chronic diarrhea. It can also be used as a disinfectant in view of its nature as a benzene derivative.

The ointment contained in Sulbogin / SUILE (Ointment) Wound Dressing is yellow and viscous. Sulbogin / SUILE (Ointment) Wound Dressing has demonstrated in both human and animal trials to be of significant value in the management of skin ulcers and wounds including burns, partial thickness wounds, donor sites, abrasions, acnes, surgical traumas, pressure ulcers, radiation ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, etc.. The new wound products are both effective in reducing pain, enhancing wound healing and capable of preventing formation of scars, granulation tissues and black pigmentation by helping regenerate to normal function, tenderness and appearance. The tissues can be patched by themselves through the proliferation and displacement of the fibroblasts and keratinocytes by means of strong reducing inflammation and active reliving cells.

More than 50 clinical trials treated with Sulbogin / SUILE (Ointment) Wound Dressing were performed in various medical centers. Some of the results are selected and shown in Figures 1-14 and the data of the clinical trials are listed in Table 1. For more information please refer to the original full paper**.
